MOV Loss of Power Verification There are 10 ITAAC that perform a Loss of Power Verification that include MOVs:

Current MOV Test Verification
- MOVs are either positioned to the Open or Closed position depending on the valve being tested.
- Power supply to the MOV is opened
- MOV is verified to not change position
Proposed MOV Test Verification
- Setup work order verifies proper operation of the Open and Close contactors.
- Verification that the Open and Close contactors operate properly ensures that upon a loss of power to the MOV, that the MOV will fail As-Is. Power to operate the valve motor come through contacts from the Open and Close contactors.
