Dear NRC staff,

This is totally wrong and abusive to our Indigenous Communities! They do not consent to this project.

People in New Mexico have suffered for many years with the cumulative effects of Uranium mining and other facilities in the area.

This is another example of blatant environmental racism and desecration of archeological and cultural sites.

Water supplies and local wildlife will be affected.

Accidents and contamination from transporting the waste are a very serious possibility.

We need either a permanent repository, regional interim facilities or a policy of more safely storing the waste locally while exploring future options ASAP. This toxic problem needs to be dealt with now.

Continuing to ignore it while it piles up and the utilities refuse to be proactive or take responsibility has gone on for TOO LONG!
