[External_Sender] Docket ID NRC-2018-0052 /Holtec application for nuclear waste storage in New Mexico To whom it may concern, I have serious concerns about the storage of nuclear waste in New Mexico. While I do embrace alternative and climate minded energy solutions (to which I believe nuclear power is one), the matter of nuclear waste is an important, critical issue because its inherent hazard and potential for dire effects are serious matters. The externalized costs of using nuclear is one that is burdened upon everyone. For that reason I think that the public should be informed by our government and given ample opportunity to comment and express concerns or resistance (or perhaps even endorsement).

I believe so many issues need to addressed and answered regarding the public health, environmental impact, and tribal sovereignty before this application can be processed or approved. It is very disconcerting that every other state has given a "no" in the storage of this waste. There is something fundamentally important in this decision!!! Without enough information and assurance that our health and safety (for many years to come) are considered in deciding the store nuclear waste in New Mexico, I would also be inclined to say "NO!" as well.

I believe that the webinars and online forums do not adequately allow for the crucial discourse that needs to take place between our leaders/elected official, the public, and in this case the Holtec corporation.

Please, at the very least, I urge you to consider extending the comment period until after the Public Health Emergency that is Covid-19 so that there can be safe in-person comments.
