Dear NRC staff,

I am writing to submit a public comment in response to the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (Docket ID NRC-2018-0052) regarding Holtec Internationals application for a license to build and operate a Consolidated Interim Storage Facility for Spent Nuclear Fuel and High Level Waste (NUREG-2237).

I am strongly opposed to the Holtec storage proposal because dangerous high-level radioactive waste transported across the United States on our rails, roads, and waterways would certainly affect 100 million Americans who live within a mile or two of proposed transport routes. This would unavoidably occur if efforts to revive the proposed scientifically-indefensible Yucca Mountain, Nevada waste dump are accomplished, or if a Centralized or Consolidated Interim Storage (CIS) site for high-level radioactive waste is created.

Please don't activate either of these high-risk plans!
