[External_Sender] Docket ID NRC-2018-0052 Draft Environmental Impact Statement Comment As a native New Mexican as well as an American, I oppose the nuclear waste interim storage site between Carlsbad and Hobbs. It is proposed to store extremely dangerous materials temporarily but without a plan for the ultimate and timely permanent disposal. Nuclear waste materials should be disposed of where they were used and produced. New Mexicans should not be forced to accept them.
This site is likely to become de facto permanent when it does not have all the safety requirements for a permanent site.
Please reject this proposal.
