Attached are the comments of the PA Department ci Environmental Protection on the Draft environmental Impact Statement for the Decommissioning of the Shallow Landfill Disposal Area dated August,1997. Although the U.S. N.R.C. withdrew the Draft EIS and are now requesting B&W to submit a new Decommissioning Plan, we believe that it is important to provide you with our comments on the Draft EIS. We trust that these comments will be useful to the N.R.C. in the eventual review of the Decommissioning Plan.
