PLANT SHUTDOWN FOLLOWING INDICATION OF ELECTRICAL GROUND IN MAIN STATION GENERATOR The licensee reported by telephone to the Region V (Walnut Creek, California) office that the facility was shut down on the evening of October 18, 1976 to investigate and correct an indication of electrical ground in the generator field of the main station generator.
It is expected that the unit will remain shut down until Sunday, October 24, 1976.
A press release is to be issued by the licensee.
NRC Region V received notification of this event by telephone from the Assistant Plant Superintendent at 2:45 p.m. EST on October 20, 1976.
