APPROVAL RECORD Model No. 660 Series Packages Certificate of Compliance No. 9033 Revision No.14 l

By application dated June 17,1998, AEA Technology /OSA, Inc. requested an amendment to Certificate of Compliance No. 9033, for the Model No. 660 series packages. AEA Technology /OSA, Inc. requested that the expiration date of the certificate be changed to June 30,1999, in order to allow a period for transition to the Model No. OPL-660 and OP-660 packages (Certificate of Compliance No. 9283). The Model No. OPL-660 and OP-660 packages are intended as replacement packages for the Model No. 660 Series packages. The applicant also requested that the name of the certificate holder be changed from Amersham Corporation to AEA Technology /QSA, Inc.

The Certificate of Compliance for the Model No. 660 Series packages has been revised to l

change the expiration date to June 30,1999, and to specify that the certificate is not l

renewable. This will allow sufficient time for user registration and orderly transition to the l-replacement package. The name of the' certificate holder has also been changed to AEA Technology /OSA, Inc.

The NRC staff agrees with the applicant's conclusion that these changes do not affect the j

ability of the package to meet the requirements of 10 CFR Part 71.
