INCREASED MEDIA AND LEGISLATIVE ACTIVITY RELATIVE TO VERMONT l YANKEE The Station Superintendent informed Region I, Philadelphia that: NBC N.ws had interviewed the Corporate President and took news films relative to the I torus prob'em for use on John Chancellor's news for February 9 or 10; the State Nuclear Advisory Committee is scheduled to meet on the Vermont Yankee shutdown on February 10; the govenor has appointed a 5 or 6 person committee to review Vermont Yankee operating history.
Region I, NRC Philadelphia, PA received this information at 3:15 p.m. Feb-ruary 9.
Media interest is expected because of the torus problem a'nd associated shutdown of Vermont Yankee.
