NRC INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-443/98-02
Dear Mr. Feigenbaum:
On May 16,1998, the NRC completed an inspection at Seabrook Station. The enclosed
report presents the results of that inspection. No response to this letter is required.
The station was operated safely throughout the period. Operators performed routine
evolutions well. Maintenance personnel were observed to perform several high quality
repair activities well. In contrast to the generally good performance, several performance
weaknesses were noted during the initial response to out of tolerance "as found"
calibration data on several steamline pressure control circuit cards. We note that this issue
was still being evaluated by your staff at the conclusion of the period. We are continuing
our inspection of this matter.
