Subject:
BOMB THREAT On January 4,1978 at 10:35 p.m. a telephonic bomb threat was received
.at the site from an anonymous male caller who stated, "There is a bomb on your site." The supervisor on duty evacuated the skeleton crew and caused a search of the premises to be conducted by company security personnel.
No explosive devices or suspicious articles were disclosed by the search.
Normal activities were resumed at 3:00 a.m. on January 5, 1978.
The licensee notified the Sheriff's Office, State Police and FBI (Springfield).
RIII notified the Chicago Field Offices of the FBI and BATF in accord with existing procedures.
O No press release was made nor is one being planned by the licensee or RIII.
j The Clinton Station is currently under construction and is located in central Illinois,10 miles east of the city of Clinton.
