The information presented is as initially received without verification or evaluation and is basically all that is known by IE staff as of this date.

ANTINUCLEAR PROTEST - SOUTHERNERS MOBILIZING FOR SURVIVAL At 1:30 p.m. on June 28, twelve members of a protest group, Southerners Mobilizing for Survival, visited the Region 11 office to stage a protest against licensing of the Seabrook Nuclear Plant, to make antinuclear statements, and to request that the Region II office halt work at Georgia Power Company's Plant Vogtle.
Atlanta radio, television and newspaper reporters accompanied the group.
The regional Public Affairs Officer received the group and listened as each member read an antinuclear statement.
The regional office extended a courteous reception to the group and responded to media questions. The demonstration was carried out without incident and the group departed in a peaceful manner. ()
