B0MB THREAT On June 22, 1978, the licensee received a bomb threat in a letter sent from Glen Rose, TX to the Project Manager. The letter indicated ,

that there were four bombs at the plant site.

The Project Manager directed sounding of the site evacuation alarm at 12:50 p.m. and all personnel began evacuation. At 1:50 p.m., all personnel except general foremen and superintendents were sent home.

Tne general foremen and superintendents, directed by the local Sheriff, O completed a search for the bombs at 5:15 p.m. No bombs were found. g/

A phone call was received at 11:42 p.m. on the plant main switchboard by the night supervisor of security. The caller was an adult male who said in effect. "We're going to stop construction," anc' hung up. It A

has not been cetermined if there is a connection between this phone call cl and the letter,.

The Somerville County sheriff, the local FBI and Texas State bomb disposal personnel were notified of the incident. The Dallas office of the FBI and the local Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms were notified by RIV.

Since President Carter will be in Fort Worth, TX on June 23,1978, the utility notified the advance team of the Secret Service.

Work was resumed at the construction site on June 23, 1978.

Although no press release was made by the Utility or RIV, there has been considerable media interest. The news media apparently received the information by calls from local workers and monitoring communications.
