Dear Mr. Wadley:

' On June 3,1998, a public meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the Northem States Power Company at the Region lli office.

The meeting addressed the license's future plans for Dry Cask Storage of spent fuel. Particular attention was given to their Quality Assurance oversight of their fabricators. A list of attendees and the licensee presentation are enclosed. No member of the public attended the meeting.

- In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules and Practice," a copy of this letter and its enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
