Dear Mr. Wood:
The attached list of investments was approved by the Onaha Fablic Power District Board of Directors for the District's Fort Calhoun Station Unit No.1 Decommissioning Funds in accordance with Nebraska State Statutes identifying permissible investments for " governmental subdivisions". This list expands the permitted investments relayed to you in October 1989 by including investment grade corporate bonds and commingled funds of permitted investments. The District's investment philosophy continues to be " buy and hold-to-maturity" as was relayed to you in 1989.
Our External Trust facility accepted by the Nf;C in 1989 is and continues to be with the First National Bank of Omaha. That Trust Agreement provides for investments allowable under State Statute. In addition to U.S. Treasury and Federal Agency securities held in the past, the Trust will now hold permitted corporate bonds and a commingled fund. The commingled fund will be the Western Asset Management Trust Core Portfolio.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (402) 636-3055.
Sincerely, i
