CHLORINE LEAK A chlorine leak was detected about 10:15 a.m. on March 16, 1978. The "
source was identified as leakage past an isolation valve when the system piping was opened for maintenance. Chlorine system re-isolation secured l <
tg the leak. Chlorine gas was present in the parking lot and was picked up {

by the Unit 1 turbine building ventilation system. The Unit 1 condenser bay area was evacuated, as was the parking lot. No additionaT evacuation ~

checks by the facility nurse.
