VOGTLE ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT VALVE INSERVICE TEST PROGRAM REVISIONS j
13y letter dated May 29,1997, Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) submitted the second ten-year interval updates for the Pump and Valve Inservice Test Program for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2. As indicated in the above referenced letter, implementation of the program has been phased-in over the pa;t year and full program implementation was completed by May 31,1998. During program procedure development the following program revisions were deemed necessrsy.
Twenty-four relief valves that provide overpressure protection for the Nuclear Service Cooling Water System were added to the valve test program s The test frequency for testing the Nuclear Service Cooling Water slow fill line check valves was revised from quarterly to refueling (Reference ROJ-32),
I The test method to verify closure for check valve 1/21208U6189 was changed from e
non-intrusive to measurement of pressure differential (Reference ROJ-22), and The test method to verify closure for check valve 1/2'1204U6013 was revised to allow valve disassembly and inspection as an alternative to non-intrusive testing (Reference l((
ROJ-6).
