Dear Mr. O'Hanlon:
I In a telephone conversation on May 27.1998. Joe Scott. Suaervisor Operator Training and Ronald F. Aiello, Senior License Examiner Region II Operator Licensing and Human Performance Branch, made arrangements for the NRC to inspect the licensed operator requalification program at the North tina Power Station. The inspection is planned for the week of July 13. 1998. The staff at your facility should 3repare and conduct the requalification examinations.
in accordance with your 4RC-appccved requalification program.
In accordance with 10 CFR 55.59(c), the NRC may request facility licensees to submit their comprehensive requalification written examinations or annua 2 operating tests as necessary to support the NRC's inspection program needs.
In order for the NRC to adecuately prepare for this inspection, please furnish the written examinations anc/or operating tests (which ever is applicable) scheduled for the week of the inspection to the NRC by July 1.1998 The request for requalification examination material is covered by Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Clearance Number 3150-0101. which expires April 30, 2000. The estimated average burden is 4.0 hours0 days <br />0 hours <br />0 weeks <br />0 months <br /> per response.
