Dear Sir:
Pursuant to paragraph.(c)(2) of 10 CFR Part 50.64, we are submitting our current schedule to meet the requirements for conversion from HEU to LEU fuel at the Iowa State University UTR-10. facility (R-59).
a.
On November 28, 1988, we submitted our application for LEU conversion to the Commisssion, along with proposed ammendments to our Safety Analysis Report and license technical specifications. We are currently waiting for an NRC review of our application.
From conversations with Keith Brown at DOE, we now expect to receive LEU fuel no earlier than the Fall of 1990. This represents a considerable. delay
