DOCKET NOS. 50-266 AND 50-301 EMERGENCY RESPONSE DATA SYSTEM POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT l NRC Generic Letter 89-15, " Emergency Response Data System" dated August 21, 1989, provided information in a question-answer format regarding the staff's requirements for direct electronic transmission of a limited set of parameters from a licensee computer to the NRC during an emergency at a licensed nuclear power facility. We have done some preliminary investigations of the feasibility of providing such access to our Point Beach Nuclear Plant. We believe this can be accomplished with a few hardware changes and some detailed engineering effort.

Accordingly, we are volunteering to participate in the Emergency Response Data System Program.

Our contact persons for this program will be Chuck Krause (414) 221-2001 and Chuck Olszewski (414) 221-4551 for administrative and technical purposes, respectively. Please contact us at your convenience to discuss the details of our implementation of this program.

Very truly y urs,
