How to Load the SSDS System for the First Time These procedures assume that you are familiar enough with Windows to be able to change from one window to another, and to find icons within the windows. If you are having difficulty, you should ask your computer support personnel, or ask someone in the office who is familiar with computers, for assistance. If at any time as you are following the directions below, the screen does not look like what is described, you should ask your computer support personnel, or ask someone in the office who is familiar with computers, for assistance.
1.
Put the disk in the drive. Note whether it is the A: or B: drive. If you are not sure, then ask your computer support personnel, or ask someone in the office who is familiar with computers.

On your computer, go to the MS-DOS prompt.

if you are using Winoows, then find the icon that says MS-DOS and double-click. It is usually in the " Main" window.

On the screen should now be a flashing box or line (the cursor). It should be next to j
something that looks like "C:\\>" If it does not look like that then type, j
C:
(then press the Enter or Return key)
Then type, CDt (then press the Enter or Return key)
It should now look correct.
4.
Create a directory for the System.
- Type, 4
MDtSSDS (then press the Enter or Return key) 5.
Go to the SSDS directory.
- Type, i
CDtSSDS (then press the Enter or Return key) 6.
Copy the file from the disk to the SSDS directory.
- Type, COPY A:\\*.* C:\\SSDS\\*.*
(then press the Enter or Return key) l 7.
Install the System by typing, RTYREG (then press the Enter or Return key) 1 8.
The SSDS system is now installed on your computer.

To run the SSDS system, type, SSDS (then press the Enter or Return key)
How to Update the SSDS System Follow the steps listed above, except do no_t do Step 4 (creating the directory).
