Washington Public Power Supply System (WPPSS Nuclear Project No. 1) Docket No. 50-460-OL Gentlemen:

In accordance with the October 14, 1983, Memorandum and Order in the captioned proceeding, the Washington Public Power Supply System hereby submits its twenty-second quarterly status report regarding construction activities at WNP-1.

l During the first quarter of 1989, no significant safety-related construction activities were performed at WNP-1, although a limited engineering effort was continuing.

We do not anticipate any change in this level of activity during the next several months.
