Maine Yankee Security Plan, Revision 1 Gentlemen:
Reference (b) forwarded a revised Maine Yankee Security Plan for staff review. On July 18, 1989; representatives from Maine Yankee and the NRC staff met tu discuss the revised plan. During that meeting, we agreed.to submit ce;:ain changes to the revised Security Plan.
This letter submits a revised description of changes (Enclosure 1) and Revision l'to the Maine Yankee Security Plan (Enclosure 2).
These enclosed documents incorporate the agreements reached during the July 18 meeting.
This letter replaces Refere. ice (b) in its entirety.
The enclosed' description of changes compares the Security Plan, Revision 1 with the original Security Plan. Changes to the revised Security Plan Reference (b) are marked by brackets in the left-hand margin of Enclosure (2).
. As discussed with the NRC staff, the enclosed security plan and its implementing procedures incorporates the enhancements to our security program made as a result of our security improvement program.
These improvements include:
Improved screening of packages at checkpoint.
Improved screenine of personnel at checkpoint.
Enhanced perimeter fencing.
3 Enhanced isolation zone surveillance.
