The purpose of this letter is to inform NRC that the temporary current Technical Specification (CTS) TS-391T provision to increase EDG AOT is no longer needed.

The Enclosure provides i

supplemental information regarding TS-391T in support of the

{

TS-362 amendment request relating to Section 3.8, Electrical

{

Power Systems.

I On June 19, 1997, TVA submitted a TS change request for a temporary amendment TS-391T for Units 2 and.3 for both the CTS and ITS formats to provide a one-time 14-day AOT for each EDG to accommo'date planned 12-year vendor recommended maintenance activities.

The TS change was approved for BFN CTS on December 22, 1997.

Since the 12-year maintenance has been successfully completed for all eight BFN EDGs, TVA no longer needs the temporary provision in CTSs.

The ITS format request l

was withdrawn by TVA's letter to NRC dated May 7, 1998.
