(1) NRC Letter, James G. Partlow To All Holdere Of Operating Licenses or Construct % Permits For Nuclear Power Plants, dated May 2, 1989 (8905040276).
The subject Generic Letter requires all licensees to submit information on the status of procedures or administrative controls which will provide assurances that the structural integrity of all high energy carbon steel systems is maintained.
LACBWR was permanently shut down on April 30, 1987 and all fuel was transferred to the Fuel Element Storage Well (FESW). On Augus.t 4,1987, License No. DPR-45 was amended to a possess-but-do-not-operate status and further amended to a Full-Term Possession-Only License by Amendment No. 63 dated August 18, 1988. Therefore, none of the LACBWR systems are operated as high energy systems and this Generic Letter does not apply to LACFWR.
