l By letter dated May 24, 1989, Alabama Power Company (the licensee), responded to NRC Bulletin 88-01 for Farley Unit 2.
In its response, the licensee confirned that activities required to address the issues discussed in the i
Bulletin have been performed for Unit 2.
Previously, by our letter dated l
August 25, 1988, we advised the licensee that the issue was considered 1
complete for Unit 1.
Therefore, we now consider the licensee's actions are j
complete for both units.

By copy of this memorandum, Region II is advised of the licensee's position on this matter.
