i This is written in' response to your May 16, 1989 memo requesting information 1
regarding the EE0 achievements of Region V during the current SES rating J
period. The discussion of our achievements, contained in Enclosure 1 addresses the specific data requested in your May 16 memo as well as a general assessment of our performance relative to our established EE0 initiatives.

Region V has continued to seek opportunities to demonstrate our comitment to the goals of the Agency's Equal Employment Opportunity Program. We are hopeful that our recent initiation of an aggressive recruitment effort will lead to increased staffing of targeted groups.
