We are in receipt of your SER, dated August 3, 1989, which concluded that the-
'McGuire and Catawba ATWS/AMSAC designs, as revised, are acceptable. Your SER reaffirmed a commit. ment made in our original design submittal, thet a human factors review would be performed on the bypass control feature of the AMSAC system.
Please be advised that such a review, consistent with our control room design review process, was conducted as part of the Nuclear Station Modification process and that appropriate changes were incorporated into the main control boards for each station. Records'of these reviews are available for' audit.
