e Texas A&M, AGN- 201 Request for AdditionalInformation Please provide the following information.

A. Safety Analysis Report

1. Discuss the general topography of the area around the Zachry Building.
2. Approximately how far is the closest residential area in direct distance from the AGN-201.
3. Provide the following information on tornadoes in the Brazos Valley:

a) How many have been confirmed (20 years)?

b) Known severity and c) Effect on structures, if known?

4. The same information as in three for hurricanes in the Brazos Valley.
5. On page 13-2, section13.1.1, last paragraph, review the reported radiation levels at 5 watts for the University of New Mexico and Idaho State.
6. Provide a summary of annual personnel exposures for the past 5 years.
7. Define the general nature of the cargo carried on the railroad discussed in section 2.2.1; of particular interest would be the hazards associated with a rail accident and its effect on the AGN-201, and why would this be more severe than a truck accident on Highway 30.
8. What is the average annual temperature and precipitation?

B. Technical Specifications

1. Submit revised Technical Specifications with the signature of the Chairman of the Reactor Safety Board.

C. Operator Requalification Plan

1. Under D, add a sentence, or equivalent, at the end as follows:

1. Discuss in your security plan how the campus police check for a response to unauthorized entry.

D. Emergency Plan Submit a revised emergency plan that addresses the following and is approved by the Reactor Safety Board.

1. Provide a legible map, with a legend, of the site and reactor facility that clearly shows the facility access routes (Introduc,Jon).
2. Identify the current contracted medical facility. Figure 3.1 shows two facilities (Organization and Responsibilities).
3. The classification for an NOUE (Notification of an Unusual Event) is not included in the emergency classification scheme of the Plan, e.g., tornadoes and bomb threats.

Provide justification for its omission (Organization and Responsibilities).

4. The Plan indicates that the Protective Action Guides (PAGs) would not be exceeded, however, no bases was provided with this statement. Provide the justification or basis as to why postulated design basis events would not exceed the EPA PAGs at the site boundary (Organization and Responsibilities).
5. The Plan does not indicate what actions will be taken to mitigate events such as bomb threats, fires, natural hazards (tornadoes, etc.). Provide justification for not including these in the Plan. Discuss actions that would be taken to protect the staff and public in case these events occurred (Emergency Response).
6. The Plan does not include the methods or procedures to determine personnel accountability. Provide these or justification as to why they are not included (Emergency Response).
7. The Plan does not indicate how radiation dose rates and contamination levels are monitored, collected, and documented at the facility. Provide this information or justification why this information is not included (Emergency Response).

8. The Plan does not describe the equipment for personnel monitoring. Please provide i this information (Emergency Facilities and Equipment).

9. Provide'the list of equipment and communications that are available in the emergency support centers (Emergency Facilities and Equipment),
10. Provide the frequency for checking and calibrating survey and radiation monitoring equipment (Emergency Facilities and Equipment).
11. Provide records which would indicate that the emergency plan was reviewed and updated on a biennial schedule (Maintaining Emergency Preparedness).
12. Provide the current (withing two years) letter of agreement with the City of College Station (Maintaining Emergency Preparedness).
13. Provide the recovery procedures covering decontamination of the facility; assessing structural damage and repairing reactor equipment (Recovery).
