l am responding to your letter of April 20,1998, in which you transmitted proposed clarifications of the scope of work (SOW) for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC's) safety assessment of the High Flux Beam Reactor (HFBR) at the Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL). I agree with the proposed SOW, and my staff plans to begin th safety assessment on the week of June 8,1998, at the HFBR. NRC's contacts for this -
