Dear Mr. Davis:
This letter is being provided in response to the routine safeguards inspection conducted by Mr. T.J. Madeda and Ms. G.M. Christoffer of Region III l
from January 3-6 and 9, 1989, of activities at Braidwood Station.
Reference (a) indicated that no violations.of NRC requirements had been identified during the course of this inspection.
However, you requested that Commonwealth Edison (Edison) review our Security Physical Fitness Program to j
assure that the agility test demonstrates an appropriate level of stress and physical effort to assure a level of adequate response during emergency conditions.
In response to this item, Edison met with the Region III staff on April 13, 1989, to get a better understanding of the NRC's concerns. The written response to this issue was provided on April 21, 1989.
Edison is amending that response as discussed in a telephone call with the Region III J
Staff on May 1, 1989.
