DEVIATION REPORT NO. QS89-105 Gentiemen:

We have completed our evaluation of the reported deviation in fuel basket material (Radionox A18) based upon Deviation Report No. QS89-105 and supplemental information submitted to the Nuclear Regulatory Comission (NRC) and de cketed under Project No. M-37. The material in question has been used in the fabrication of four fuel baskets for CASTOR V/21 casks.

Based on our NRC staff safety review, we find use of this material for these four fuel baskets acceptable.
