Previous verbal authority had been provided by the contracting officer for the contractor t'o commence' work on this subtask. As a result the contract estimated cost and fee are increased as shown separately below:

2. This contract modification obligates FY 98 funds in the amount of

$200,000. As a result of this allotment and item #1 above, Section B.3.,

In this case, publication of a draft final NUREG by September 25, 1998 is unlikely.

Also, more extensive comments may be generated by internal NRC review for publication of a NUREG instead of a NUREG/CR, and the resolution of more extensive comments would not be covered by this spending plan or current contract estimated cost."
