Zion Nuclear Power Station, Units 1 and 2 License Nos. DPR-39 and DPR-48 Proposed Technical Specification. Amendment to General Surveillance Requirements, Section 4.0.3 and 4.0.4: NRC Docket Nos. 50-295 and 50-304

June 13, 1989 letter from G.E. Trzyna to NRR 1 Gentlemen: Our submittal of June 13, 1989 proposed a Technical Specification amendment to revise the requirements of General Surveillance Requirements, Section 4.0.3 and 4.0.4. In addition, a request was also made to ' apply -this revised guidance to Section 3.3.1.F, Reactor Coolant System; and to Section 3.9.3.A Containment Isolation Valves. After additional review, however, Commonwealth Edison has elected to-defer the request for an amendment to Section 3.9.3.A and requests that these sections-{pages 199a and 199b) be withdrawn from our. submittal. No other i changes to our submittal are required. The Section regarding Containment Isolation Valves will be' addressed with the forthcoming proposed Technical Specification amendment which incorporates the revised gt'idance of Sections 3.0.3 and 3.0.4, as provided by Generic Letter 87-09. This letter confirms the July 25, 1989, telephone conversation regarding our intention to withdraw pages 199a and 199b of our submittal.
