COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION (CPSES)
DOCKET NOS. 50-445 AND 50-446 STATION SERVICE WATER SYSTEM LEAKAGE SDAR: CP-86-07 (SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT)
Gentlemen:
On April 11, 1986 TV Electric notified the NRC by letter logged TXX-4762 of a deficiency involving weld failure and coating degradation in the Station Service Water (SSW) System. The last report, logged TXX-88818, was submitted December 1, 1988. The purpose of this rt; port is to update the status of the corrective action for Unit 2.
The following corrective actions are presently being implemented for Unit 2.
These are being performed at this time to support completion of major construction activities in the common areas.

- 1. Removal of Plasite 7122 from the 10, 24, ano 30 inch safety related l
carbon steel piping in the Service Water System in accordance with Specification CPES-N-2007.

- 3. Installation of flange insulation kits, or replacement of carbon steel bolts with stainless steel bolts at bimetallic connections, This work is scheduled to be complete by September 30, 1989, except for item 2 above which is being done on a case-by-case basis as the flanges are opened for maintenance or other reasons.
Additional Unit 2 corrective actions, if required, will be addressed upon resumption of the balance of Unit 2 l
engineering activities.
