Enclosed are one signed original and ten copies of the Final Safety Analysis 7
Report, Update 8, for TMI-1 filed pursuant to 10 CFR 50.71(e).
This UFSAR update contains changes necessary to reflect information, facility changes, procedure changes, and analyses up through January 20, 1989, as required by the I
rule.
Further, as later information became available, the more current information was incorporated into the updata, time permitting, e.g., all revised figures in this Update are based on the latest design drawings revised up through March 31, 1989.
One major chat:s 'n this update which affects the overall document is the licensed power incr'ase from 2535 MW to 2568 MW which occurred in t
t Cycle 7.
We har reflected this change in all areas where it had major impact on the UFSAR. However, there may be some minor instances where the change may not have been recognized by the reviewers of this update, hence, any further changss for the pewsr incrcase will be acccmmcdated in futurs updates.
