CONFIRMATORY ORDER MODIFYING LICENSES

Dear Mr. Edwards:

The Commission has issued the enclosed Confirmatory Order Modifying Licenses (Order) for the PECO Energy Company's (licensee's) Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Units 2 and 3. This Order confirms the licensee's commitment, as stated in the hcensee's letter dated August 2, 1995, to complete implementation of ThermcH.ag 3301 fire bamers corrective actions at both units prior to restart from 3R12 refuehng outa0s of Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Unit 3, scheduled for October 1999. This commitment was set out in your letter of consent dated April 27,1998.

l l You should proceed with implementation of these corrective actions in accordance with your proposed schedule.

A copy of this Order is being filed with the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
