FIRE PROTECTION TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS CHANGE REQUEST NO. 79 POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 (NRC TAC NOS. 51550 AND 51551)
By letter dated April 19, 1983 we submitted a Fire Protection ;
Technical Specification change request. We amended this submittal by letters dated April 13, 1984, September 7, 1984 and July 14, 1988.
On March 21, 1989 we were informed of a discrepancy between our j September 7, 1984 and July 14, 1988'submittals. Specifically, Technical Specification Table 15.3.14-1 included with our July 14, 1988 letter contained a typographical error in that the table, as submitted, did not indicate partial coverage automatic water sprinkler '
suppression systems in the Auxiliary Building South and Auxiliary Building North eight foot elevation safe shutdown fire areas. This is inconsistent with the copy of the table provided in our September 7, 1984 submittal which indicated this sprinkler coverage. We have enclosed herewith a corrected Technical Specification Table 15.3.14-1 which includes this information.
This corrected Table 15.3.14-1 was previously evaluated in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50. 91 ( a ) and determined to not involve a significant hazards consideration. The evaluation was included in our September 7, 1984 submittal.
