SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50483/98-09

Dear Mr. Randolph:
From April 28-30,1998, an inspection of your inservice inspection activities was performed at
your Callaway Plant reactor facility. The results of this inspection were discussed with you and
members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection. The enclosed report presents the
scope and results of that inspection.
The procedures and records for inservice inspections, examiner qualifications, and repair and

replacement of ASME Code Class 1,2, and 3 components that the inspector reviewed were
good, and indicated that the inservice inspection program was being appropriately implemented,
in accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its
enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR).
Should you have any questions conceming this inspection, we will be pleased to discuss them
with you.
