Portland General Electric Company (PCE) committed to completing confirma-s tory structural design adequacy ' evaluations for the Turbine Building and Fuel. Building by April 28, 1989 and May 15, 1989, respectively. The evaluations involve documenting comprehensive analyses of the structures for seismic and tornado loading conditions.
It has become apparent from the analyses completed to date that more rigorous analyses will be needed~
to' fully document the overall etractural adequacy of the buildings. The extended due dates shawn below for'the affected commitments will allow for' comp 19 tion of the additional ~ analyses.

Inspection of Pipe Whip Restraints:
PGE. committed to conducting an inspection of a representative sampic of pipe Whip restraints (PWRs) and adjacent pipe supports in Mode 5 during the 1989 Refueling Outage. The intent was to perform an inspection with the Plant in a cold condition as follow-on to the inspection in a hot condition (Mode 3), which was completed during the 1988 Refueling Outage.
The inspection this outage was actually performed in Mode 6.
The acceptance criteria was met in all cases.
