SUBJECT:
Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant Unit Nos.1 & 2; Docket Nos. 50-317 & 50-318 Unit 2 Cvele 9 Sinnie Pin Burnuo Gentlemen:
As requested by Mr. : S. A. McNeil, we are providing additional information concerning the single pin burnup limits for the Unit 2 Cvele 9 core. The Unit 2 Cycle 9 single pin burnup limit is dependent on the Unit 2 Cycle 8 end-of-cycle burnup. The end-of-cycle burnup for Cycle 8 is 17, 974 MWD /T. In Unit 2 Cycle 9, the most limiting fuel pin will reach a burnup of 52,000 MWD /T when the cycle 9 burnup is 14,600 MWD /T. This would occur approximately 450 days after stertup from the current refueling outage, assuming 100% continuous power operation.
If you have any questions, please contact P. S. Furio at (301) 260-4374.
Very truly youre, fik N_
