Maine Yankee Safeguards Contingency Plan and Training and Qualification Plan Gentlemen:

. Enclosed are the original and three copies of the " Maine Yankee Atomic Power Station Safeguards Contingency Plan," the " Maine Yankee Atomic Power Station Security Force' Training and Qualification Plan," and " Description of Changes" for each plan. The revisions to the plans were based on changes made to the " Maine Yankee Atomic Power Station Security Plan," Reference (b), and an evaluation by MYAPCo management and supervisory personnel of the current and future security program needs and goals.

As individually evaluated in the " Description of Changes," the changes made to these plans have been reviewed by the Plant Operations Review Committee (PORC). The changes have been determined to not decrease the effectiveness of the plans.

These changes are being submitted in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54 (p). If we have not heard from you within sixty days, we will assume that these changes are acceptable to you and we will proceed to implement them.

These plans and description of changes contain Safeguards Information of a type specified in 10 CFR 73.21 and must be protected against unauthorized disclosure.
