Dear Dr. Bixby:
This is to notify you that I plan to visit the West Valley Demonstration Project on April 19-21, 1989 with three contractors: Joseph Price and James Hammelman of Science Applications International Corporation, and James Berger of Oak Ridge Associated Universities. Dr. Berger will attend only the April 21 activities. Based on discussions with your staff, specific issues have been scheduled for each day of our visit.
April 19. Integroted Radwaste Treatment System and Supernatant Treatment System Task Force update April 20 - Vitrification off-gas issues (viz,)the issues identified in my letter to you of February 28, 1989 April 21 - Status of the backfilled lagoon (estimates of radioactive irventory, current physical condition, plans for radiological sampling and surveying)
I would also appreciate a short review of the kerosene characterization project whenever it can be conveniently scheduled.
As always, we will be at your disposal to discuss any other topics you wish.
