Georgia Power Company has reviewed IE Bulletin 86-02 for applicability Plant E.

1.

Hatch Units 1 and 2.

The bulletin reported erratic to performance of differential pressure switches provided by SOR.

Incorporated.

The switches were installed in nuclear facilities and were used to sense reactor coolant levels and to activate the emergency core cooling systems.

The bulletin required that all licensees determine whether SOR Model 102 or 103 differential pressure switches are installed (or are planned for installation) as electrict1 ocufpment important to safety, as defined in 10 CFR 60.49(b) or whether dif forential pressure switches are installed in systems that are subject to limiting conditions for operation, as defined in the Technical Specifications.

Georgia Power Company has determined that the SOR Models 102 and 103 differential pressure switches addressed in Bulletin 86-02 ere not utilized in either of the Plant Hatch units as electrical equiment important to safety, as defined in 10 CFR 50.49(b). or in systems ttat are subject to limiting conditions for operation,-

as defined in the Technical Specifications.

Therefore, the followup actions outlined in the referenced bulletin are not applicable to Plant Hatch.

This response completes our actions relative to 15 Bulletin 86-02.
