[External_Sender] Public Comment Draft EIS My name is Susan Crockett and I am a member of the Eddy County Commission who also serves on the Eddy Lea Energy Alliance.
The current economic crisis gripping the nation has shown us the need to diversify our economy in SE New Mexico. The proposed Holtec project is safe for both the fossil fuel and nuclear industry to work side by side and provide jobs and revenue security for the state. We appreciate the NRC for the very thorough review in this Environmental Impact Statement. No stone was left unturned.
Holtec is the largest US exporter for capital equipment supporting the nuclear industry, and has very much displayed to this community that they will do a good job. I stand in support of the project and urge the NRC to fully grant the license to operate.
