Request for Guidance on Required Stability Testing of Concrete Encapsulated Waste Form This is to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated August 10, 1989 which followed from our telephone conversation of August 9, 1989 on the above subject. As you are aware, there are efforts underway to provide additional guidance to the technical position paper on waste form, specifically in the area of the use of cement in the waste disposal process.
It is suggested that a meeting be arranged, at your convenience, to discuss the testing program you had outlined in February of 1987. We will at such a meeting indicate our current thinking relative to your proposal for concrete encapsulation.
Perhaps after such a meeting you will be in a better position in which to make a decision regarding initiation of the test program.
