Operating License No. DPR-73 Docket No. 50-320 Response to Generic Letter 89-10 NRC Generic Letter 89-10 addresses the implementation of a long-term, safety-related, motor-operated valve (MOV) testing and surveillance program to ensure that valve switch settings are selected, set, and maintained so that the MOVs will operate under design-basis conditions.
The differential pressure conditions which could cause valve failures of the j
type described in the subject generic letter are not applicable to the current, cold shutdown condition of TMI-2.
If a decision is made to restart TMI-2, this NRC Generic Letter will be re-evaluated.
