Gentlemen:
This refers to the routine material control and accountability inspection
conducted by Mr. J. R. Kniceley of this office on August 29-30, 1989, of
activities at Dow TRIGA Research Reactor Facility authorized by NRC License
No. R-108, and to the discussion of our findings with Messrs. J. Havel,
C. Kocher, and W. Rigot at the conclusion of the inspection.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during-
the: inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
- examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and
interviews with personnel.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this
inspection.
In accordance with' 10 CFR 2.790 of the commission's regulations, a copy of
this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC
Public Document Room. Exhibit A, which is attached to the enclosed report
concerns a subject matter which is exempt from disclosure according tt
Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practices," Part 2, Title 10, Code of
Federal Regulations. Consequently, the attachment to the enclosed
inspection report will not be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
