Gentlemen:
I The County Commission of Jefferson County, on behalf of its citizens, does hereby request the following actions to be taken concerning the application of

l Combustion Engineering, Hematite, Missouri, for a license amendment:
(1)
We request that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission send inspectors to the plant site at Hematite to determine if all applicable regulations are being followed and if the plant is safe environmentally.
(2)
We request that a hearing be held in Jefferson County at a time, date and place well publicized in l
advance to answer citizens' questions concerning the l
safety aspects of the plant now and in the future, if the j
license amendment is granted.
