. INTRODUCTION In order to obtain a license to operate the owners of the Seabrook nuclear plant must demonstrate that they have prepared an adequate evacuation plan for the six Massachusetts towns closest to the plant.
The plan they have submitted says that your company will supply a number ( ~ vehicles and drivers to support that evacuation.
j As you may know, the Attorney General is evaluating that plan to see if it is workable and will adequately protect our i
I citizens in the event that there is an accident with a major release of radiation from Seabrook.
To complete this evaluation we need to ask you some questions about the drivers
,~
and vehicles your company has agreed to provide.
Before proceeding, we would ask only one thing:
please tell us the honest truth!
Do not exaggerate what you think your drivers can or will likely do.
We need to know what the realistic dimensions of your company's participation will be.
~
If you exaggerate what your company can do, or what your l
drivers wil be willing to do, then you aro putting the safety of Massachusetts citizens at risk.
Will you do this for us --
tell us what the unexaggerated truth is?
